The next bu-letteral is absorbed and a flat accidental is given to it; e.g. "zi'e'o gy" means "the note G-flat". Use zi'e'u for double flats or subscript this cmavo to refer to a multiple of the flat, e.g. for triple flats or half flats. Subscripting with a negative value will refer to sharps instead.
