Welcome to our server, please enjoy your stay! The aim of this server is to provide a safe and friendly space for Lojban speakers and learners willing to speak and learn.

There are three tiers:

• tavla is for casual conversation; no correcting each other (unless asked) or discussions about formalisms allowed.
• pensi is for discussions about the language, its formalisms, etc.
• tavypei is a mix of both: talk there if you want to have your Lojban scrutinized and corrected. However, corrections must not be conversation show-stoppers.

In each tier, there are three channel types:

• naljbo (only for learning or off-topic chatting, no sustained convos in Lojban allowed)
• xrejbo (talk in Lojban or about Lojban; for simple conversations where you expect yourself to fall back to English when things get tough)
• lojbo (full immersion, no English allowed)

Amended rules: We wish to foster an accepting and friendly atmosphere on this server. In kind, please refer to each other with due respect, refrain from personal attacks and stay argumentative rather than contentious, and if things get heated, try to dial them back or move to #jbodau. Conversely, give your interlocutors the benefit of the doubt – after all, many of us are neurodivergent, socially awkward, or both.
